This document describes the steps needed to install HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver on the HP Indigo press, and gives instructions for working with this ink. 2 Quick guide / overview to installing HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver and working with it The below procedure summarizes the steps needed to install the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver and then work with this ink. For more information on each step, and troubleshooting, see additional instructions in this - HP Indigo WS6600 | Working with Indigo ElectroInk SilverHow-to Guide - Page 10
(CE level) Main Menu > Problem Solving > CE Applications. ● It is recommended to use HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver with 2 hits in order ElectroInk Silver. ● HP ElectroInk Silver is not supported by media fingerprint, 3D color calibration, and continuous color calibration (CCC). c. sure to install this BID base (P/N C8Q11A) and developer roller (P/N C8Q12A) before using the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver. IMPORTANT: Using a regular BID will cause print quality and performance issues. DO NOT use the dedicated ElectroInk Silver BID base and developer roller for other inks. OFIR (On-press Fast Ink Replacement) wizard until the ink pathway between the ink tank and the BID are completely clean, with no traces of previously used ink. OFIR, and clean manually the below components: Use the ink stations and BIDs 1, 6 or 7 for HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver. ● DFE - Make sure that the DFE is version 5.2_IR7.2 + HF18.2 + HF23.0, to support the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver. the ink tank. If you find that the ink cartridge still contains ink (an empty cartridge weights ~250 g), manually empty the cartridge using the Print Care (CE level) > Element Activation. Removing and storing ElectroInk Silver and BID If you are not using the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver for a few days, do the following: it in an environment that is the same as the press environment. 5. d. Touch Replace. Follow the Replace BID wizard. 7. Remove the BID and clean it. 8. While manually rotating the BID, clean the rubber developer roller and the metallic squeegee roller with a lint-free wipe soaked with imaging oil. 9. 7 Troubleshooting Troubleshoot the HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver on the HP Indigo press. Table 7-1 Troubleshooting Symptom / Issue Solution Build ink: Density calibration failure 1.
