- BID rollers (squeegee, cleaning, developer). - Electrode surface. - Cleaner roller - tray interface. ● Clean the cleaning station wiper. Weekly maintenance ● Clean outer surface of BID base from Silver residues. ● Extract the cleaning station, wiper, charge roller, ink tank. ● Perform OFIR (On press Fast Ink Replacement) for BID and hoses. ● During OFIR: clean wiper and charge roller, clean cleaning station from Silver residues, clean ink tank filter. ● Clean ITM shoulders. ● Clean PIP drum shoulders. ● Clean impression roll shoulders. NOTE: It is recommended to perform the weekly OFIR at the end of the week in order to prevent accumulation of sludge in the ink tank at the beginning of the following week. Monthly maintenance ● Rebuild ink (after ink tank is clean). ● Inspect status of press parts for Silver residues. ● Printing with aged ink will change the OD-background balance: - At 400 electrode voltage ⇒ OD will be reduced (less Silver) - If increasing electrode voltage ⇒ background will become significant NOTE: After ink rebuild, OD will be higher (1.3, when measuring with an M3 external device) and will reach steady state (1.1, with M3) following 5,000 Silver impressions.
