A Full color calibration It explains full color calibration. ● HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver is visually stable, therefore it is not necessary / not recommended to perform Full Color Calibration (FCC). ● Full Color Calibration for Silver changes the BID electrode voltage only. (This can also be done manually, as described in Performing Silver color adjustments on page 14). NOTE: OD target for transparent media should be changed manually (see Color calibration recommendations per substrate on page 31). ● Silver ink can be selected similarly to all other colors. Silver color calibration starts at the end of other colors calibration. Silver ink will not fail calibration of other colors. ● When working with uncoated matte substrates (for example, wine label substrates), do not perform full color calibration. Perform troubleshooting if issues exist (for example: image memory, flow streaks, etc) - perform manual silver color calibration via Print Care (as described in Silver color appearance and adjustments on page 11). Color calibration recommendations per substrate If full color calibration (FCC) is needed, refer to the table below for the Silver ink optical density (OD) targets per substrate type. Full color calibration
A
It explains full color calibration.
HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver is visually stable, therefore it is
not necessary / not recommended to
perform Full Color Calibration (FCC)
.
Full Color Calibration for Silver changes the BID electrode voltage only. (This can also be done
manually, as described in
Performing Silver color adjustments
on page
14
).
NOTE:
OD target for transparent media should be changed manually (see
Color calibration
recommendations per substrate
on page
31
).
Silver ink can be selected similarly to all other colors. Silver color calibration starts at the end of
other colors calibration. Silver ink will not fail calibration of other colors.
When working with uncoated matte substrates (for example, wine label substrates), do not perform
full color calibration. Perform troubleshooting if issues exist (for example: image memory, flow
streaks, etc) – perform manual silver color calibration via Print Care (as described in
Silver color
appearance and adjustments
on page
11
).
