● Continuous color calibration (CCC) does not support ElectroInk Silver. It is not recommended to use CCC with silver jobs. If you decide to work with CCC make sure that the Auto-Null adding on double-hit printing bypass is selected in the Print Care (CE level) > Bypasses > Processes screen (see figure above). ● When working with uncoated matte substrates (for example - wine label substrates) do not perform color calibration. Perform troubleshooting if issues exist (for example: image memory, flow streaks etc) - refer to Silver color appearance and adjustments on page 11. ● For improved edge accuracy when working with ElectroInk Silver, activate the line thinning and enable gray level text enhancement from the job properties. ● If the press will be shut down for long periods (such as for weekends), use the OFIR before the shutdown. Preventing eye irritation Inks and imaging oil might irritate the skin and eyes. In extreme cases of exposure, these substances might cause blindness. As a precaution: ● Wear protective eye covering. ● Install eye wash stations within 7.6 m (25 ft) of areas where the ink and imaging oil are handled, dispensed, or stored. ● Provide eye wash liquid at the eye wash stations (available from most safety supply companies) to comply with ANSI standard Z358.1-1990. 4 Chapter 1 Overview
