Installation dialog-box options for Windows HP recommends that you install the software before connecting the product to the computer. However, it is possible to install the software if the product is already connected by using Plug-n-Play and the Add Printer Wizard. The following sections show the dialog box options that appear during the HP LaserJet 1020 printing-system software installation on Windows operating systems. Installing the software before the printer is connected to the computer NOTE HP recommends that you install the software before connecting the HP LaserJet 1020 to the computer (software-first installation). These instructions are for a software-first installation. These instructions are intended to be used the first time that you install the HP LaserJet 1020 printing-system software.
