Neoware Image Manager User Manual The NVDD CHAPTER 17 Configuration File Introduction This chapter describes the nvdd configuration file and the settings that can be specified in it. The nvdd configuration file is used to define virtual hard disk volumes and specify which clients can access them. Every hard disk image that Client Builder creates will have an associated configuration file called nvdd..conf. When you install Neoware Image Manager it will provide you with a basic hard disk image file called smalldisk.vol and a configuration file called nvdd.smalldisk.vol.conf. Whenever you build a hard disk image using Client Builder, it will automatically create a new configuration file called nvdd..conf. For example, if you create an image file called XPe123.vol, the configuration file for that image will be named nvdd.XPe123.vol.conf. The Image Manager Console provides a graphical interface for editing an nvdd configuration file (see "The Image Manager Console" on page 181), or you can use any text editor to manually edit the file as described in this chapter. 213
