Neoware Image Manager User Manual APPENDIX A Upgrading Image Manager This appendix describes how to upgrade from earlier versions of Neoware Image Manager. Important The components in a specific release of Neoware Image Manager must not be mixed with components from other releases. Components in a specific release of Neoware Image Manager are designed to work together and may not work if used with components that are not part of the same release. Upgrading from Previous Versions of Neoware Image Manager 4 Order of Upgrading Operations 1 Backup your hard disk image. 2 Boot one client with the older version of Neoware Image Manager. 3 Configure nvdd so that the virtual volume (virtual HD) is mounted in Admin mode by this client. 4 Using this client, run Client Builder from the newer version of Image Manager (launched from the CLIENT folder that contains the newer components). It detects that it is actually performing an upgrade. 289
