Virtualized Environments Microsoft VirtualPC Virtual Server Environments Most of what is mentioned in the previous section for VMware environments is also true in Microsoft VirtualPC/Virtual server environments. Refer to the VMware section earlier for more details about general operations with virtual machines. In this section we will focus on Microsoft VirtualPC/VirtualServer specifics. Enabling Network Boot To enable network boot, boot the VM, press the Del key to enter BIOS, go to the BOOT menu then enable network boot. For example: Note: The PXE code in some implementations of Microsoft VirtualPC and Virtual server VM reports an incorrect size for receive/ transmit queues. This can prevent the VM from actually booting off Image Manager server. In order to correct this issue if you encounter it, please use the NICRxTxQs parameter in mPXELdr's .ini file. The correct value for use with MS VirtualPC/VirtualServer VMs is NICRxTxQs = 8/1. Please refer to "The mPXELdr Configuration File" on page 251 for more details about mPXELdr.bin initialization files.
