To install the optical disk drive: 1. Slide the optical disk drive assembly into the chassis. 2. Remove the top cover, fasten the screws and connect the IDE data and power cables to their corresponding connectors on the optical disk drive. You can install either SAS hard drives or SATA hard drives in the server. For servers with 2 3.5-inch HDDs, the hard drives installed in the server are labeled from Device 1 to Device 2, from left to right, when viewed from the front of the server. To install the optical disk drive:
1.
Slide the optical disk drive assembly into the chassis.

corresponding connectors on the optical disk drive.

Hard drives
