Each communications port consists of a transmitter and receiver optical subassembly. The transmitter subassembly contains internally a semiconductor laser diode in the wavelength of either 850 nanometers (shortwave laser) or 1310 nanometers (longwave laser). Class 1 Laser products are not considered hazardous. C. Usage Restrictions Failure to comply with these usage restrictions may result in incorrect operation of the system and points of access may emit laser radiation above the Class 1 limits established by the IEC and U.S. DHHS. WARNING! Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein or in the laser product's installation guide may result in hazardous radiation exposure. To reduce the risk of exposure to hazardous radiation: - Do not try to open the module enclosure. There are no user-serviceable components inside. - Do not open controls, make adjustments, or perform procedures to the laser device other than those specified herein. - Allow only HP Authorized service technicians to repair the unit. Battery replacement notice Your switch is equipped with a lithium manganese dioxide, a vanadium pentoxide, or an alkaline internal battery or battery pack. There is a danger of explosion and risk of personal injury if the battery is incorrectly replaced or mistreated. Replacement is to be done by an HP authorized service provider using the HP spare designated for this product. For more information about battery replacement or proper disposal, contact your HP authorized reseller or your authorized service provider. WARNING! Your switch contains an internal lithium manganese dioxide, a vanadium pentoxide, or an alkaline battery. There is risk of fire and burns if the battery is not handled properly. To reduce the risk of personal injury: - Do not attempt to recharge the battery. - Do not expose to temperatures higher than 140°F (60°C). - Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose of in fire or water. Batteries, battery packs, and accumulators should not be disposed of with the general household waste.
