4 Set the address switches on the disk enclosures. See Figure 14. Each disk enclosure should have a unique address. Both link controller cards in the enclosure must be set to the same address. Note For ease of management, it is recommended that odd addresses (1, 3, 5) be used for disk enclosures on loop 1 and even addresses (0, 2, 4) be used for disk enclosures on loop 2. Because the two back-end FC loops are independent, disk enclosures on different loops can have the same address.
