Use the SCSI HostRAID feature of the SCSISelect Utility program to configure the integrated SCSI controller with integrated RAID, and the devices that are attached to it. For information about using this utility program, see "Using the SCSISelect Utility program (for SCSI RAID)" on page 19. - SAS/SATA Configuration Utility program (for SAS RAID) With the SAS/SATA Configuration Utility program, you can configure the devices that are connected to the optional SAS adapter. Use this program to change default values, resolve configuration conflicts, and perform a low-level format on a SAS hard disk drive. For information about using this utility program, see "Using SAS/SATA Configuration Utility program (for Serial Attached SCSI RAID)" on page 20. v ServeRAID Manager ServeRAID™ Manager is available as a stand-alone program and as an IBM Director extension. If a ServeRAID controller is installed in the computer, use ServeRAID Manager to define and configure the disk-array subsystem before you install the operating system. For information about using this program, see "Using ServeRAID Manager" on page 21. v Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet controller configuration To configure the integrated Gigabit Ethernet controller, see "Configuring the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet controller" on page 23. v SCSISelect Utility program (some models) With the SCSISelect Utility program, you can configure the devices that are connected to the optional SCSI adapter. The following sections provide the instructions for starting the utility programs. Starting the Configuration/Setup Utility program Configuration/Setup is a menu-driven utility that is part of the BIOS code in the computer. You can use it to: v Configure serial connector assignments v Change the startup sequence v Enable USB keyboard and mouse support v Resolve configuration conflicts v Set the date and time v Set an administrator password To start the Configuration/Setup Utility program, complete the following steps: 1. Turn on the computer and watch the monitor screen. If the computer is already on when you start this procedure, you must shut down the operating system, turn off the computer, wait a few seconds until all in-use LEDs are turned off, and restart the computer. 2. When the message Press F1 for Configuration/Setup, Press F12 for Boot Menu appears on the screen during startup, press F1. (This prompt appears on the screen for only a few seconds.
