Hand-turn the left spool to ensure that the ribbon tracks correctly in the path and ribbon guides. 6 Lower the forms thickness lever. Set it to match the paper thickness. If you are using RibbonMinder with the Ribbon Fault option set to "New Ribbon" and are changing the ribbon because the message Ribbon Out of Ink, Change Ribbon is displayed, raising the forms thickness lever as far as it will go will reset the RIBBON OUT OF INK, CHANGE RIBBON fault message.
