5. Change the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address of the compression card. 6. Press Enter. Press Enter again in response to the Save Network Settings in Compression Card panel and the Compression Card Settings Saved panel. 7. Press Esc twice to return to the main menu. 8. Select Save Settings, confirm your choice, and then select Exit Setup. Using another computer to change the compression card IP address To change the blade workstation compression card IP address using another computer that is on the same subnet and gateway as the blade workstation, complete the following steps: 1. Turn on the blade workstation. 2. Connect a computer to the network to which I/O module 2 is connected. Make sure that the computer has an address with the same subnet mask and gateway as the blade workstation. 3. Open a Web browser on the computer and enter the blade workstation compression card IP address (192.168.100.1, or the last IP address the compression card was set to) in the browser address field; then, press Enter. 4. In the resulting window, click Configuration → Network. 5. Change the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address of the compression card. 6. Click Apply. 7. Close the Web browser. 8. Turn off the blade workstation; then, turn it on again. 9. Determine the MAC address of the compression card; you will need the compression card IP address and MAC address when you establish a session from a thin client: a. Open a Web browser on the computer and enter the new IP address in the browser address field; then, press Enter. b. Click Info → Version. Record the MAC address that is displayed. 10. Continue with "Changing the thin client IP address." Changing the thin client IP address The thin client has the following default network configuration: IP address: Subnet: Gateway: 192.168.100.1 255.255.255.0 192.168.100.254 To avoid network conflicts, you must change the default IP address to a unique IP address for each thin client. To change the thin client IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address, follow the instructions that come with the thin client.
