v Startup Option Select this choice to view or change the start options. Changes in the start options take effect when you start the blade workstation. You can set keyboard operating characteristics, such as keyboardless operation, or specify whether the blade workstation starts with the keyboard number lock on or off. You can specify how or whether the blade workstation restarts when power is restored. You can enable a virus-detecting test that checks for changes in the boot record when the blade workstation starts. - Startup Sequence Options Select this choice to view the Startup Sequence menu. The startup sequence specifies the order in which the blade workstation checks devices to find a boot record. The blade workstation starts from the first boot record that it finds. v Advanced Setup Select this choice to change values for advanced hardware features, such as CPU options and PCI configuration. Important: The blade workstation might malfunction if these settings are incorrectly configured. Follow the instructions on the screen carefully. This choice is on the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu only. - CPU Options Select this choice to view or change the microprocessor options. - PCI Bus Control Select this choice to view or change the system resources that are used by the installed PCI or PCI Express devices. - Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Settings Select this choice to view the baseboard management controller (BMC) information and to change some items. You can enable or disable the BMC watchdog timer and enable or disable clearing the system event/error log. - BMC Network Configuration Select this choice to view and change the BMC network configuration. - BMC COM Port Sharing/Configuration Select this choice to enable or disable serial port sharing and specify the serial port access mode. - System Event Log Select this choice to view all entries in the system event/error log since the log was last cleared. - Compression Card Network Configuration Select this choice to view or change the IP address, subnet mask, or gateway of the compression card. v Error Logs Select this choice to view or clear error logs. - POST Error Log Select this choice to view the three most recent error codes and messages that were generated during POST.
