REPORT LUN Bit 5 4 3 2 1 0 Command Code = A0h Reserved Allocation Length Reserved Reserved = 0 (LSB) FLAG LINK The REPORT LUN command requests that the drive return the known Logical Unit Numbers (LUN) to the initiator. The Report LUN command should always be available and is unaffected by any reservations. The Allocation Length must be at least 16 bytes. If the Allocation Length is less than 16 bytes, the drive will return in CHECK CONDITION status with Sense Key of ILLEGAL REQUEST and additional Sense Code of INVALID FIELD IN CDB. If the Allocation Length is not sufficient to contain the Logical Unit Number values for all configured logical units, the drive shall report as many logical unit number values as will fit in the specified Allocation Length. This is not considered an error. The Report LUN command will send the LUN List in the subsequent DATA OUT Phase. The format of the LUN List is shown in the following table. LUN Reporting Parameter List Format The LUN list length contains the length in bytes of the LUN list that is available to be transferred. The drive supports only one LUN. Therefore the LUN list length must be set to 8. The only supported LUN is zero. Ultrastar 146Z10 hard disk drive specifications 150

Figure 150. LUN Reporting Parameter List Format
The LUN list length contains the length in bytes of the LUN list that is available to be transferred.
The
drive supports only one LUN. Therefore the LUN list length must be set to 8. The only supported LUN is
zero.
