✏ NOTE After you replace the battery, you must reconfigure your blade server and reset the system date and time. xxCAUTION: Replace the lithium battery with the same module type made by the same manufacturer. The battery contains lithium and can explode if not properly used, handled, or disposed of. Do not: • Throw or immerse into water • Heat to more than 100°C (212°F) • Repair or disassemble Dispose of the battery as required by local ordinances or regulations. Complete the following steps to replace the battery: 1. Review the information in "General Safety" and "Electrical Safety" beginning on page vi and "Installation guidelines" on page 19. 2. Follow any special handling and installation instructions supplied with the battery. 3. Turn off the blade server and remove the blade from the system chassis (see "Removing the blade server from the system chassis" on page 19 for instructions). 4. Open the blade server cover (see "Opening the blade server cover" on page 20 for instructions). 5. Locate the battery on the system board.
