16. Locate the first microprocessor socket. Open the retention mechanism bracket (A). Pull out and lift up on the microprocessor locking lever (B) to unlock the microprocessor socket. ✏ NOTE When unlocked, the locking lever (B) is fully extended in the 90-degree position. Center and align the microprocessor (C) over the microprocessor socket. Make sure that the microprocessor is oriented and aligned correctly in the socket before closing the microprocessor locking lever.
