Complete the following steps to remove and replace the I/O board: 1. Shut down the operating system and turn off the blade server (see "Turning off the blade server" on page 13 for instructions). 2. Remove the blade server from the system chassis (see "Removing the blade server from the system chassis" on page 19 for instructions). 3. Remove the blade server cover (see "Opening the blade server cover" on page 20 for instructions). ✏ NOTE If you have a SCSI storage expansion unit installed (which replaces the blade server cover) then remove the SCSI storage expansion unit. NOTE

Complete the following steps to remove and replace the I/O board:
1.

system chassis” on page 19 for instructions).
3.
Remove the blade server cover (see “Opening the blade server cover” on page 20 for

cover) then remove the SCSI storage expansion unit.
