Creating the BIOS Upgrade Diskette The BIOS upgrade file is a compressed self-extracting archive that contains the files you need to upgrade the BIOS. 1. Copy the BIOS upgrade file to a temporary directory on your hard disk. 2. From the C:\ prompt, change to the temporary directory. 3. To extract the file, type the name of the BIOS upgrade file, for example: 10006BI1.EXE 4. Press . The extracted file contains the following files: LICENSE.TXT README.TXT BIOS.EXE 5. Read the LICENSE.TXT file, which contains the software license agreement, and the README.TXT file, which contains the instructions for the BIOS upgrade. 6. Insert the bootable diskette into drive A. 7. To extract the BIOS.EXE file to the diskette, change to the temporary directory that holds the BIOS.EXE file and type: BIOS A: 8. Press . 9. Creating the BIOS Upgrade Diskette
The BIOS upgrade file is a compressed self-extracting archive that contains the files you need to
upgrade the BIOS.
1.
Copy the BIOS upgrade file to a temporary directory on your hard disk.
2.
From the C:\ prompt, change to the temporary directory.
3.
To extract the file, type the name of the BIOS upgrade file, for example:
10006BI1.EXE
4. Press <Enter>.
The extracted file contains the following files:
LICENSE.TXT
README.TXT
BIOS.EXE
5.
Read the LICENSE.TXT file, which contains the software license agreement, and the
README.TXT file, which contains the instructions for the BIOS upgrade.
