1. Printer Driver for Windows 95/98 1-15 Setup tab A B C A: [Options] Displays a list of optional devices installed on the printer. If you want to add another optional device, click the [Add] button. To remove an existing optional device, select the device, and then click the [Remove] button. [Device Options Displays a list of optional devices that have been recognized by both printer and printer driver. However, they are still not ready for use. [Installed Options Displays a list of optional devices that are ready for use. Optional devices that are no longer used can be removed by selecting them and clicking the [Remove] button. * Some items in other tabs will be effective only when optional devices that have been installed are recognized by [Options]. If you have optional devices, always check whether they are displayed in [Options]. Some optional devices cannot be removed if they are still displayed in [Installed Options]. B: [Installed Memory] button From the drop-down list, select the size of memory installed on the printer. If the specified memory size is incorrect, printing may not be performed correctly. C: [Page Protection] Select whether a portion of the printer's memory is to be designated for printing documents that contain both text and graphics.The default is [Auto]. Normally, leaving this setting on [Auto] is recommended. [Auto The Page Protection option allows the printer to reserve printer memory automatically for printing complex text or graphic images. [On Select this in cases where pages containing complex images cannot be printed properly. However, selecting [On] requires more printer memory. 1-22
