Installing or replacing a PCI card Attention Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer. Your computer has one standard PCI card slot, two PCI Express x1 card slots, and one PCI Express x16 graphics card slot. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 11. To install or replace a PCI card, do the following: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 14. 3. This section provides instructions on how to install or replace a PCI card.
Your computer has one standard PCI card slot, two PCI Express x1 card slots, and

To install or replace a PCI card, do the following:
1.
Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the
computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and
disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 14.
3.
At the rear of the computer, remove the screw that secures the PCI card latch.

PCI card that is currently installed, as shown in Figure 10 on page 18.
