2. Projecting an Image (Basic Operation)  Turning on the Projector NOTE: • The projector has two power switches: A main power switch and a POWER button (POWER ON and OFF on the remote control) • Turning on the projector: 1. Press the main power switch to the ON position (I). The projector will go into standby mode. 2. Press the POWER button . The projector will become ready to use. • Turning off the projector: 1. Press the POWER button. The confirmation message will be displayed. 2. Press the POWER button again. The projector will go into standby mode. 3. Press the main power switch to the OFF position (O). The projector will be turned off. Remove the lens cap. 1. Press the main power switch to the ON position ( I ). The projector will go into standby mode. When in standby mode, the POWER indicator will light orange and the STATUS indicator will light green when [NORMAL] is selected for [STANDBY MODE]. See the Power Indicator section. (→ page 221) 16

Turning on the Projector
NOTE:
•฀ The฀projector฀has฀two฀power฀switches:฀A฀main฀power฀switch฀and฀a฀POWER฀button฀(POWER฀ON฀and฀OFF฀on฀the฀remote฀control)
•฀Turning฀on฀the฀projector:
1.฀ Press฀the฀main฀power฀switch฀to฀the฀ON฀position฀(I).
The projector will go into standby mode.
2.฀ Press฀the฀POWER฀button฀.
The projector will become ready to use.
•฀Turning฀off฀the฀projector:
1.฀ Press฀the฀POWER฀button.
The confirmation message will be displayed.
2.฀ Press฀the฀POWER฀button฀again.
The projector will go into standby mode.
3.฀ Press฀the฀main฀power฀switch฀to฀the฀OFF฀position฀(O).
The projector will be turned off.
Remove the lens cap.
1.฀ Press฀the฀main฀power฀switch฀to฀the฀ON฀position฀(฀I฀).฀
The projector will go into standby mode. When in standby
mode, the POWER indicator will light orange and the STA-
TUS indicator will light green when [NORMAL] is selected
for฀[STANDBY฀MODE].฀See฀the฀Power฀Indicator฀section.
