The File Save Dialog (Batch Scans) When Save to disk is selected in the Batch Scan tab and Nikon Scan is used as a stand-alone application, the following dialog will appear when the Scan button is clicked. The File Saving Options dialog contains the following items: File Naming Files saved during a batch scan are assigned names consisting of a prefix, a file number of from one to six digits, assigned in ascending order from a user-specified starting point, and a suffix. The options in the File Naming area control the prefix, file number and suffix. Item Prefix Suffix Number of digits Starting Index Sample Description Enter the desired prefix (up to forty letters). Enter the desired suffix (up to forty letters). Use this slider to select the number of digits for the file number (from one to six).
