Note: When sending messages, your device may display the words "Message Sent". This is an indication that the message has been sent by your device to the message centre number programmed into your device. This is not an indication that the message has been received at the intended destination. For more details about messaging services, check with your service provider. ■ Viewing messages on a SIM card Before you can view SIM messages, you need to copy them to a folder in your phone. See "Actions common to all applications" on page 30. ■ Cell broadcast Go to Menu→Messaging→Options→Cell broadcast. You may be able to receive messages on various topics, such as weather or traffic conditions from your service provider (network service). For available topics and relevant topic numbers, contact your service provider. In the main view, you can see: • the status of the topic: - for new, subscribed messages and - for new, unsubscribed messages. Options in Cell broadcast: Open, Subscribe/Unsubscribe, Hotmark/Remove hotmark, Topic, Settings, Help, and Exit. • the topic number, topic name, and whether it has been flagged ( ) for followup.
