NETWORK CONFIGURATION INTRODUCTION Your machine incorporates a fast 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T network interface. This guide explains the functionality of the built in network interface. Access for interconnection and producing self-diagnostic test and configuration printouts is provided via an interface panel located at the rear of the machine. This network interface supports IEEE802.2, IEEE802.3, Ethernet-II and SNAP, and can detect those frame types automatically. The network interface also supports TCP/IP protocols. This guide details the network interface specification and several software utilities. NOTE Not all utilities, features or protocols are supported by every operating system. Please check with your User's Guide and support website for latest information. The self-diagnostic test results and configuration settings are printed. On the first page of the Network Information that is printed out, under the heading "General Information" the MAC or Ethernet Address is given. For example: MAC Address 00:80:87:3B:3D:3C The Ethernet address is therefore 00:80:87:3B:3D:3C Network configuration > 6

TEST
With the machine power switched on, press the TEST button located on the network
interface panel (at the rear of the machine) for more than three seconds and then release.
The self-diagnostic test results and configuration settings are printed.
On the first page of the Network Information that is printed out, under the heading “General
Information” the MAC or Ethernet Address is given. For example:
MAC Address
00:80:87:3B:3D:3C
The Ethernet address is therefore
00:80:87:3B:3D:3C
