Ribbon Cartridge Handling Ribbon Cartridge Emergency First Aid • Leave unused ribbon cartridges in their packages until needed. • When replacing a ribbon cartridge, re-use the packaging to dispose of the old ribbon cartridge. • Be careful when removing the ribbon cartridge. Do not let it touch your clothing or porous materials. The ribbon ink may cause permanent stains. • Ribbon ink on skin or clothing can usually be removed with soap and water. Contact occurs with eyes. Flush eyes with large quantities of water for 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open with fingers. Seek medical attention.
