Base Unit Settings 3 Configure the settings, then click [Save]. Setting [Mode] [Channel] [Network Name (SSID)] [SSID Broadcast] Description L Select your wireless network mode from the pull-down menu. L If you have both 802.11b and 802.11g wireless devices in your network, select [802.11b/g]. L If you have only 802.11b wireless devices, select [802.11b] L Select [Auto] or the desired channel from 1 to 11. L Enter your wireless network name (SSID) (1 - 32 alphanumeric characters) in this data field. L Enable or disable the setting to broadcast your SSID. L If you select [Disable], only wireless devices that know the SSID of the base unit can connect to the base unit. L If you select [Enable], any wireless device can detect the SSID of the base unit. 4 Click [Restart]. L The base unit automatically restarts and the Top Menu is displayed. Note: L You need to register the handset to the base unit again when you change the network name (SSID). See "Registering the handset" on page 133.
