66 Other Operating En Playing your iPod/iPhone Caution • When your iPod/iPhone is connected to this unit and you wish to operate the iPod/iPhone directly, be sure to hold the iPod/iPhone steady with the other hand to prevent malfunctions due to faulty contacts. 1. Connect your iPod/iPhone. To connect your iPod/iPhone, see Connecting your iPod/iPhone on page 65. 2. Press FUNCTION to select iPod as the input source and press ENTER. Button  PLAY What it does Starts normal playback.  PAUSE Pauses playback.  STOP Pauses playback.  PREV Press to skip to the start of the current file, then previous files.  NEXT Press to skip to the next file.  Press to start fast reverse scanning.  Press to start fast forward scanning. MENU Use to access the iPod/iPhone menu. / /ENTER Use to control the iPod/iPhone menu. Important • If this unit cannot play your iPod/iPhone, perform the following troubleshooting checks: -- Check whether the iPod/iPhone is supported by this unit. -- Reconnect the iPod/iPhone to the unit. If this doesn't seem to work, try resetting your iPod/iPhone. -- Check the iPod/iPhone software is supported by this unit. • If the iPod/iPhone cannot be operated, check the following items: -- Is the iPod/iPhone connected correctly? Reconnect the iPod/iPhone to the unit. -- Is the iPod/iPhone experiencing a hangup? Try resetting the iPod/iPhone, and reconnect it to the unit. Playing your iPod/iPhone
Caution
