Additional Information for Software Installation Guide for Network Connection This supplement provides you with additional information for setting up the printer in a Windows network environment. If your environment is using DHCP, be sure to read this supplement as well as Software Installation Guide for Network Connection before installing the printer drivers. When Installing the Drivers in a DHCP Environment Note the following before installing the printer drivers in a DHCP environment: ❒ Make sure the network cable is properly connected to the printer before you print the test page. ❒ Omit the procedure in "3. Specify the Printer's IP Address", Software Installation Guide for Network Connection. This procedure is not necessary because the printer is automatically recognized by its IP address when its main power is switched to ON. ❒ Using Web Image Monitor, change the automatically specified IP address to the IP address printed on the test page. For details about Web Image Monitor, see Software Guide on the supplied CDROM and Notes to Administrator that is provided with the printer.
