Phone settings You can customize various phone settings. 1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode. 2. Using the Navigation keys, scroll to the Settings icon. Press the Select soft key or the key to enter the menu. 3. Highlight the Phone settings option and press the Select soft key or the key. The following options display: Language This menu allows you to select a display language for Text language and Input mode. Choose from Automatic, English, Français, and Español. Greeting message This menu allows you to set a greeting to be displayed briefly when the phone is switched on. For details about entering characters, see "Entering Text" on page 41. USB settings This menu selects the method of communication for the USB port, by Modem or Mass Storage option. Note: You are unable to connect to PC Studio when the Mass Storage option is selected. HAC Mode Enabling HAC Mode adjusts the volume for HAC compliant devices used with this handset. Important!: Enabling the HAC mode can affect the quality of the phone (voice) conversation. 1. To turn a feature on, highlight the HAC mode option and press the Select soft key or the key. 2. Highlight Off or On and press the key. 112

Phone settings
You can customize various phone settings.
1.
In Idle mode, press the
Menu
soft key to access Menu mode.
2.
Using the Navigation keys, scroll to the
Settings
icon. Press the
Select
soft
key or the
key to enter the menu.
3.
Highlight the
Phone settings
option and press the
Select
soft key or the
key. The following options display:
Language
This menu allows you to select a display language for Text language and Input mode.
Choose from Automatic, English, Français, and Español.
Greeting message
This menu allows you to set a greeting to be displayed briefly when the phone is
switched on.

USB settings
This menu selects the method of communication for the USB port, by Modem or
Mass Storage option.
Note:
You are unable to connect to PC Studio when the Mass Storage option is selected.
HAC Mode
Enabling
HAC Mode
adjusts the volume for HAC compliant devices used with this
handset.
Important!:
Enabling the HAC mode can affect the quality of the phone (voice) conversation.
