Section 1 Activating Your Phone 3. Remove the battery. Grasp the bottom of the battery (1) and lift up. Pull the battery out and away (2). 4. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card socket so that the card locks into place. Make sure the gold contacts of the card face into the phone.
