Using the Speakerphone, Muting or Sending Key Tones

Example: You wish to say something to a person in the room but do not want the person on the phone to hear you. To switch the microphone off temporarily: 1. Press the Options soft key and highlight the Mute option. 2. Press the Select soft key or the key. The other person can no longer hear you. The Mute icon is displayed. To switch the microphone back on: 1. Press the Options soft key and highlight the Unmute option. 2. Press the Select soft key or the key. The other person can hear you again. Using the Speakerphone While on a call, you can use your Speakerphone by following these steps: 1. Press the Spkr on soft key to turn the Speakerphone on. 2. To turn the Speakerphone off, press the Spkr off soft key. Muting or Sending Key Tones These options allow you to turn the key tones off or on. If the Mute keys option is selected, your phone does not transmit the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) tones of the keys, which allows you to press keys without hearing annoying key tones during a call. 32 Section 3
