Troubleshooting Problem No picture and no sound or projector does not start. Check • Projector power cord is not plugged into the wall outlet. • Power to the external connected devices is off. • The selected input mode is wrong. • Cables incorrectly connected to side panel of the projector. • Remote control batteries have run out. • External output has not been set when connecting notebook computer. • The AV MUTE display appears. • The cover of the lamp unit is not installed correctly. • Cables incorrectly connected to the side panel of the projector. • "Bright" is set to minimum position. (Video Input only) • Video input system is incorrectly set. (INPUT 1 only) • Input signal type RGB/Component is incorrectly set. • Adjust the focus. • The projection distance exceeds the focus range. (Computer Input only) • Perform "Fine Sync" Adjustments ("Clock" Adjustment) • Perform "Fine Sync" Adjustments ("Phase" Adjustment) • Noise will appear depending on the computer. • The "DNR" (Digital Noise Reduction) setting is not correct. • Cables incorrectly connected to side panel of projector. • Volume is set to minimum. 59 93 60 37 23-24 61·63 61 92 26-32 35 Picture appears but no sound is heard An unusual sound is occasionally heard from the cabinet Maintenance indicator illuminates Image cannot be captured Pict in Pict does not work -116 • If the picture is normal, the sound is due to cabinet shrinkage - caused by a room temperature changes. This will not affect operation or performance. • See "Maintenance Indicators". 110 • The signal in INPUT 1 is not an analog RGB/Digital RGB XGA 94 (1024 × 768) signal. Images cannot be captured if the signals are different from the above. • The signal in INPUT 1 is set to a resolution that exceeds SXGA. • The signal in INPUT 1 is sending Component signals 480I, 480P, 720P, or 1080I. 88 • The signal in INPUT 1 is set to interlace mode using RGB signals.
