Getting Started Function for Conversion of Video Signals The subwoofer is equipped with a function for converting video signals. Video signals and component video signals can be output as HDMI video signals and these upconverted video signals can only be output from the HDMI TV OUT jack. See the illustration that follows. Notes on converting video signals • When video signals from a VCR, etc., are converted on the subwoofer and then output to your TV, depending on the status of the video signal output, the image on the TV screen may appear distorted horizontally, or no image may be output. • HDMI video signals cannot be converted to component video signals. • The up-converted video signals are output only from the HDMI OUT jack. They are not output from any other video jacks. • When you play back a VCR with an image improvement circuit, such as TBC, the images may be distorted or may not be output. In this case, set the image improvement circuit function to off. 29US

Getting Started
The subwoofer is equipped with a function for converting video signals.
Video signals and component video signals can be output as HDMI video signals and these up-
converted video signals can only be output from the HDMI TV OUT jack. See the illustration that
follows.

Notes on converting video signals
• When video signals from a VCR, etc., are converted on the subwoofer and then output to your TV,
depending on the status of the video signal output, the image on the TV screen may appear distorted
horizontally, or no image may be output.
• HDMI video signals cannot be converted to component video signals.
The up-converted video signals are output only from the HDMI OUT jack. They are not output from
any other video jacks.
• When you play back a VCR with an image improvement circuit, such as TBC, the images may be
distorted or may not be output. In this case, set the image improvement circuit function to off.
