Using the Menus Using the Audio Menu To select the Audio Menu 1 Press MENU. 2 Use the joystick to move to the Audio icon and press . 3 Use the joystick to scroll up and down through the options. 4 Press to select an option. That option's settings appear. 5 Use the joystick to scroll through the settings. 6 Press to select the desired setting. 7 Press MENU to exit the menu screen. ✍ The TV set has a Standby/Stereo LED. The LED flashes when the set is first turned on. It glows steadily when: q The TV is standing by for a command (no picture on screen); q A program has stereo sound To restore the factory default settings for Treble, Bass, and Balance ❑ Press RESET on the remote control when in the Audio menu. Selecting Audio Options z As a shortcut to using the menus, use the button on the remote control to access the Steady Sound function. The Audio Menu includes the following options: Option Treble Bass Balance Steady Sound Effect Description Adjust to decrease or increase higher-pitched sounds. Adjust to decrease or increase lower-pitched sounds. Adjust to emphasize left or right speaker balance. ON Select to stabilize the volume. OFF Select to turn off Steady Sound. Simulated Adds a surround-like effect to mono programs. SRS Produces a dynamic three-dimensional sound for stereo signals. OFF Normal stereo or mono reception. 40
