Shut Off). Change the setting of [A. Shut Off] (p. 85), or turn on the power again.  Charge the battery pack (p. 15). The CHG (charge) lamp does not light while the battery pack is being charged.  Turn off the power (p. 15).  Attach the battery pack to the camcorder correctly (p. 15).  Connect the power cord (mains lead) to the wall outlet (wall socket) properly.  The battery charge is completed (p. 15).  The ambient temperature is too high or low. LCD screen/viewfinder Nothing is displayed on the viewfinder or LCD monitor when the power is turned on.  The camcorder displays images on the viewfinder or the LCD monitor. When [VF/Panel] (p. 84) is set to [Auto], if your eye moves close to the viewfinder, the screen display changes to the viewfinder, and changes to the LCD screen if your eye moves away from the viewfinder. When [VF/Panel] (p. 84) is set to [Panel] and the LCD panel is open, the screen display does not change even if your eye moves close to the viewfinder. Index The CHG (charge) lamp flashes while the battery pack is being charged.  If the temperature of the battery pack is too high or too low, you may not be able to charge it (p. 101).  Attach the battery pack to the camcorder correctly (p. 15). If the problem persists, disconnect the AC Adaptor from the wall outlet (wall socket) and contact your Sony dealer. The battery pack may be damaged. Menu items are grayed out.  You cannot select grayed items in the current recording/playback situation.  There are some functions you cannot activate simultaneously. Another DVD device malfunctions when
you use the supplied Wireless Remote
Commander.
