Basic operations of your CLIÉ™ handheld Other ways to enter text There are some other ways to enter text into your CLIÉ handheld. You can use whichever is the most comfortable for you. z Handwriting system There is another way of using the handwriting system besides Graffiti® 2. b For details, refer to "Entering text on your CLIÉ™ handheld" in the "Handbook" (PDF format). Decuma Input You can enter text using Decuma Input, which converts your handwriting into typed text as you write. b For details on Decuma Input, refer to "Entering text on your CLIÉ™ handheld: Using Decuma Input to enter text" in the "Handbook" (PDF format). z On-screen keyboard You can enter text by tapping the on-screen keyboard. b For details, refer to "Entering text on your CLIÉ™ handheld: Using the on-screen keyboard to enter text" in the "Handbook" (PDF format). z Software Keyboard (page 95) Operating the software keyboard is the same as the on-screen keyboard, however, you can use the applications without minimizing the current screen. z The HotSync® operation with a computer You can enter text on your computer using CLIE Organizer for PC (or Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ) and then transfer it to your CLIÉ handheld via the HotSync® operation. b For details, refer to [Help] in CLIE Organizer for PC (or Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ). 35
