Getting Started 6 Press V/v repeatedly and to un-check the items you do not want to measure, then press b. The confirmation screen, asking whether you are ready to start measurement, appears. 7 Press to select "Start." The measurement starts in five seconds. When the measurement ends, a beep sounds and the measurement result appears on the TV screen. 8 Press to select "Next." "Save auto calibration (auto speaker setup)?" appears. To save the measurement results, follow the steps in "Saving the measurement results" (page 48). If a warning message or error code appears on the screen, see "Message list after auto calibration measurement" (page 49). Note When the speaker(s) is (are) out of the phase, "Out Phase" is displayed on the TV screen. The "+" and "-" terminals of the speaker may be connected the other way around. However, depending on the speakers, "Out Phase" appears on the TV screen even though the speakers are connected properly. This is because of the speakers' specifications. In this case, you can continue to use the receiver. Tips • Operations other than turning the receiver on or off are deactivated during the measurement. • In the following situations, the measurements have not been performed correctly or auto calibration cannot be performed. - when connecting special speakers, such as dipole speakers. - when using the zone 2/zone 3 function in zone 2/ zone 3. • You can change the unit of distance use in "Distance Unit" in the Speaker settings menu. To cancel the measurement The measurement is cancelled when you change the volume, switch functions, change the setting of the SPEAKERS switch, or connect headphones. 47GB
