148 Exploring Your Options Using PC Cards You may also hot swap a PC Card. Stop the PC Card by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the System tray. After the Safe to Remove Hardware message appears, it is safe to remove the PC Card. 2 Align the card connectors with an available PC Card slot and carefully slide the card into the slot until it locks into place. Sample inserting a PC Card To avoid damaging the PC Card or the computer, do not force the card into the PC Card slot. Removing a PC Card 1 Stop the PC Card by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the System tray. After the Safe to Remove Hardware message appears, it is safe to remove the PC Card. 2 To remove the PC Card, press the eject button once. 3 Remove the PC Card and store it properly.
