Playing Various Musical Instrument Sounds (Voices) Changing the Touch Sensitivity (Touch) You can determine how the sound responds to your playing strength. This setting does not change the weight of the keyboard. [FUNCTION] button [V]/[E]/[] [EXIT] button buttons 1. Press the [FUNCTION] button repeatedly to call up the "System" menu display. Select "Keyboard" by using the [V]/[E] buttons, and then press the [>] button. "System" menu display NOTE When playing with Piano Voices, you can also determine the touch sensitivity in the Piano Room display. For details, refer to "What you can do in the Piano Room" on page 26. 2. Select "Touch" by using the [V]/[E] buttons, and then press the [>] button. 3. Default setting: Medium Touch Sensitivity list Soft 2 Soft 1 Medium Hard 1 Hard 2 Fixed Produces relatively high volume even with light playing strength. Produces high volume with moderate playing strength. Standard touch sensitivity. Requires moderately strong playing for high volume. Requires strong playing to produce high volume. No touch response. The volume level will be the same regardless of how hard you play the keys. 4. Press the [EXIT] button to exit from the "Touch" display. NOTE • If you change the touch sensitivity here, the setting in the Piano Room display (page 26) is also changed • The setting here will not be recorded to a MIDI Song nor be transmitted as MIDI messages. • The touch sensitivity settings may have no effect with Organ or Harpsichord Voices. 36 P-515 Owner's Manual
