Network Setup Configures the network settings. ■ Information Displays the network information on the unit. NewFwAvailable Appears if an update for this unit's firmware is available (p.42). STATUS The connection status of the NETWORK jack MAC MAC address IP IP address SUBNET Subnet mask GTWY The IP address of the default gateway DNS P The IP address of the primary DNS server DNS S The IP address of the secondary DNS server VTUNER The ID of the Internet radio (vTuner) ■ IP Address Configures the network parameters (such as IP address). DHCP Select whether to use a DHCP server. Off On (default) Does not use a DHCP server. Configure the network parameters manually. For details, see "Manual network settings". Uses a DHCP server to automatically obtain the unit's network parameters (such as IP address). Manual network settings 1 Set "DHCP" to "Off". 2 Use the cursor keys (B / C) to select a parameter type. Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway DNS Server(P) DNS Server(S) Specifies an IP address. Specifies a subnet mask. Specifies the IP address of the default gateway. Specifies the IP address of the primary DNS server. Specifies the IP address of the secondary DNS server. 3 Use the cursor keys (D / E) to select the edit position. Address1 SP A VOL. 192 (Example: IP address setting) Use the cursor keys (D / E) to switch between segments (Address1, Address2...) of the address. Filter Enables/disables the MAC address filter. Off (default) Disables the MAC address filter. Enables the MAC address filter. In "MAC On Address 01-10", specify the MAC addresses of the network devices that will be permitted access to the unit. MAC address filter settings 1 Set "Filter" to "On". 2 Use the cursor keys (B / C) to select an MAC address number (01 to 10). 3 Use the cursor keys (D / E) to move the edit position and the cursor keys (B / C) to select a value. 4 To exit from the menu, press SETUP. y When using "AirPlay" (p.27) and "DMC Control" (p.35), you cannot limit access from network devices regardless of the MAC address filter. ■ DMC Control Selects whether to allow DLNA-compatible Digital Media Controller (DMC) to control playback. Disable Enable (default) Does not allow DMCs to control playback. Allows DMCs to control playback. y A Digital Media Controller (DMC) is a device that can control other network devices through the network. When this function is enabled, you can control playback of the unit from DMCs (such as Windows Media Player 12) on the same network. ■ NET Standby Selects whether the unit can be turned on from other network devices (network standby). DMC Control
Selects whether to allow DLNA-compatible Digital Media
Controller (DMC) to control playback.
y
A Digital Media Controller (DMC) is a device that can control
other network devices through the network. When this function is
enabled, you can control playback of the unit from DMCs (such
as Windows Media Player 12) on the same network.

NET Standby
Selects whether the unit can be turned on from other
network devices (network standby).
