123456 Example of installing the unit This unit outputs sound beam as shown in the illustrations below. Install this unit where there are no obstacles such as furniture obstructing the path of sound beams. Otherwise, the desired surround sound effects may not be achieved. If the unit is installed so that it is parallel to a wall, install it as close to the exact center of the wall as possible. If the unit is installed in a corner of a room, position it at a 40-50° angle to the adjacent walls. Parallel installation Objects, such as furniture Parallel installation Install this unit as close to the exact center of the wall as possible. • If the unit cannot be installed evenly between the left and right walls, sound beams can be adjusted to achieve natural surround sound effects (p. 17). Ideal installation condition Install this unit as close to the exact front of your normal listening position as possible. The distance between listening position and the unit should be more than 1.8 m (6 ft). Sound beam output varies depending upon the surround setting (p. 40) and the channel output setting (p. 75).
