Chapter 24 Maintenance Figure 127 Maintenance > Language 24.10 System Operation Mode Overview The Sys OP Mode (System Operation Mode) function lets you configure your NBG5615 as a router or access point. You can choose between Router Mode, and Access Point Mode depending on your network topology and the features you require from your device. The following describes the device modes available in your NBG5615. Router A router connects your local network with another network, such as the Internet. The router has two IP addresses, the LAN IP address and the WAN IP address. Figure 128 LAN and WAN IP Addresses in Router Mode Access Point An access point enabled all ethernet ports to be bridged together and be in the same subnet.
