Chapter 9 VLAN 9.7 Configuring Subnet Based VLAN Click Subnet Based VLAN in the VLAN Port Setting screen to display the configuration screen as shown. Figure 49 Advanced Application > VLAN > VLAN Port Setting > Subnet Based VLAN The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 20 Advanced Application > VLAN > VLAN Port Setting > Subnet Based VLAN Setup LABEL Active DHCP-Vlan Override DESCRIPTION Select this check box to activate this subnet based VLANs on the Switch. When DHCP snooping is enabled DHCP clients can renew their IP address through the DHCP VLAN or via another DHCP server on the subnet based VLAN. Apply Active Name IP Select this checkbox to force the DHCP clients in this IP subnet to obtain their IP addresses through the DHCP VLAN. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the nonvolatile memory when you are done configuring. Select this check box to activate the IP subnet VLAN you are creating or editing. Enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters to identify this subnet based VLAN.
