Chapter 40 DHCP Table 133 IP Application > DHCP > VLAN (continued) LABEL Server Client IP Pool Starting Address Size of Client IP Pool IP Subnet Mask Default Gateway Primary/ Secondar y DNS Server Relay Remote DHCP Server 1 .. 3 Relay Agent Informati on Informati on DESCRIPTION Use this section if you want to configure the Switch to function as a DHCP server for this VLAN. Specify the first of the contiguous addresses in the IP address pool. Specify the size, or count of the IP address pool. The Switch can issue from 1 to 253 IP addresses to DHCP clients. Enter the subnet mask for the client IP pool. Enter the IP address of the default gateway device. Enter the IP addresses of the DNS servers. The DNS servers are passed to the DHCP clients along with the IP address and the subnet mask. Use this section if you want to configure the Switch to function as a DHCP relay for this VLAN. Enter the IP address of a DHCP server in dotted decimal notation. Select the Option 82 check box to have the Switch add information (slot number, port number and VLAN ID) to client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. This read-only field displays the system name you configure in the General Setup screen. Add Cancel Clear VID Type DHCP Status Select the check box for the Switch to add the system name to the client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. Click Add to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the nonvolatile memory when you are done configuring. Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. Click Clear to reset the fields to the factory defaults. This field displays the ID number of the VLAN group to which this DHCP settings apply. This field displays Server or Relay for the DHCP mode. For DHCP server configuration, this field displays the starting IP address and the size of the IP address pool. Delete Cancel For DHCP relay configuration, this field displays the first remote DHCP server IP address. Select the configuration entries you want to remove and click Delete to remove them.
