Set AppleTalk r Select the BJC-4550 (Server) icon from the list of printer drivers in the upper-left area of the Chooser. You may need to scroll down to see the driver. r If any AppleTalk zones exist, select the zone in the lower-left box of the Chooser in which the printer is setup. r Select the print server name in the upper-right area of the Chooser. r Click Background On if you want to use background printing. Close the Chooser. r You can now print your documents from the client to the BJC-4550 that is being shared on the same AppleTalk network. Checking and Changing the Status of Print Jobs The application used when checking and changing the status of print jobs differs depending on if you are using the print server or a client. From the Print Server When you are printing directly from the print server or when a client is using the print server to print, you can check and change the status of the print jobs from the print server by using the BJ PrintMonitor. Sharing Printer—
AppleTalk Network
Select the BJC-4550 (Server) icon from the list of printer
drivers in the upper-left area of the Chooser. You may
need to scroll down to see the driver.
If any AppleTalk zones exist, select the zone in the
lower-left box of the Chooser in which the printer is
setup.
Select the print server name in the upper-right area of
the Chooser.
Click Background On if you want to use background
printing.
You can now print your documents from the client
to the BJC-4550 that is being shared on the same
AppleTalk network.

The application used when checking and changing the status of print

From the Print Server
When you are printing directly from the print server or when a client is
using the print server to print, you can check and change the status of
the print jobs from the print server by using the BJ PrintMonitor.
When Background printing is on, the BJ PrintMonitor starts whenever
you print a document.
