DES-3226S Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide create ipfilter Purpose Used to enter an IP address that will be filtered from the switch. Syntax create ipfilter [src/dst/either] Description The command allows you to select an IP address to be filtered from the switch. This IP address can be specified as the source of packets, the destination of packets, or either (both). Parameters − The IP address that is to be filtered from the switch. src − Specifies the above IP address as the source of packets. Packets with the above IP address as their source will be dropped when they are received by the switch. dst − Specifies the above IP address as the destination of packets. Packets with the above IP address as their destination will be dropped when they are received by the switch either − Specifies the above IP address as both the destination of packets and the source. IP Filtering Commands
create ipfilter
Purpose
Used to enter an IP address that will be
filtered from the switch.
Syntax
create ipfilter <ipaddr> [src/dst/either]
Description
The command allows you to select an IP
address to be filtered from the switch.
This
IP address can be specified as the source of
packets, the destination of packets, or either
(both).
Parameters
<ipaddr>
The IP address that is to be
filtered from the switch.
src
Specifies the above IP address as the
source of packets.
Packets with the above IP
address as their source will be dropped when
they are received by the switch.
dst
Specifies the above IP address as the
destination of packets.
Packets with the
above IP address as their destination will be
dropped when they are received by the switch
either
Specifies the above IP address as
both the destination of packets and the
source.
Packets with the above IP address as
their destination or their source will be
dropped when they are received by the switch
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
