Section 4 - Troubleshooting WIRELESS SECURITY MODE - WEP WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) encryption can be enabled for security and privacy. WEP encrypts the data portion of each frame transmitted from the wireless adapter using one of the predefined keys. The router offers 64 or 128 bit encryption with four keys available. Select WEP Key Length from the drop-down menu. (128 bit is stronger than 64 bit) Enter the key into the WEP Key field 1~4. (Key length is outlined at the bottom of the window.) Specify the encryption key from the Default WEP Key drop-down menu. Select Authentication type from the drop-down menu.
