Storage-System Management Navisphere Manager Navisphere Manager (called Manager) lets you manage multiple storage systems on multiple servers simultaneously. It includes an Event Monitor that checks storage systems for fault conditions and can notify you and/or customer service if any fault condition occurs. With Manager you can create RAID groups, LUNs, and Storage Groups, manipulate caches, examine storage-system status and logged events, transfer control from one SP to another, and examine events recorded in storage-system event logs. Manager features a user interface (UI) with extensive online help. UIs and online help for each of the data replication, data mobility, and Analyzer software integrate seamlessly into the Manager UI and online help. Navisphere Host Agent and CLI Navisphere Host Agents are provided for different operating systems. Each server connected to a storage system must run the Host Agent for its operating system. The Host Agent registers the host HBAs with the storage system and provides the storage system with information on how the server maps devices to LUNs (for example, the Windows drive letter for a LUN). The CLI provides commands that implement Navisphere Manager UI functions in addition to commands that implement the functions of the UIs for the optional data replication and data mobility software. A major benefit offered by the CLI is the ability to write command scripts to automate management operations. Navisphere Analyzer Navisphere Analyzer lets you measure, compare, and chart the performance of SPs, LUNs, and disks. Navisphere Integrator Navisphere Integrator provides an interface between Navisphere products and HP OpenView®, CA Unicenter®, and Tivoli® network management software.
